Putting yourself out there

Promoting Yourself as a DJ

In this day and age DJ Promotion has to start on the internet. There are so many free promotion tools on the internet for all types of business, even X-Factor and Big Brother are all over it and for one good reason it’s FREE.

Having your own website to distribute your DJ mixes direct is always a good idea but then you have to let people know they’re there and that’s where social networking comes into play. There are hundreds of social networks out there to choose from but by far the best ones are Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, SoundCloud, MySpace and of course your own Blog if you fancy it.

These websites are all free to sign up and use, some come with an upgrade option but you don’t need that. As for having your own website you will need a Domain Name and Webspace, although you could use a Blog style website which is free to create but then you would have to use Sendspace or any of the other file sharing websites that are available to host your mixes.

I have linked out to all the websites I’ve mentioned so you can just click the links and go sign up.
